“I had the pleasure of working with Ryan from the start of my interviews through the acceptance of my position as Account Manager at Day One Biopharmaceuticals. During this time, Ryan was a consummate professional who demonstrated mastery of talent acquisition while at the same time being a down to earth and very likeable person to deal with during what can at times be a stressful process. Ryan has and continues to represent the Day One Mission to be inspired by the urgent needs of children with cancer which is evident in the passion he conveys. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and am thankful for the time and guidance he has provided me.”

Here's how you can showcase your leadership skills during an interview.
I interview a lot of people. I really do love my job and enjoy hearing real world examples of how people have solved problems and/or learned from mistakes. Being vulnerable to admit when something you tried went wrong is a demonstration of humility. Humility is huge character asset. It is something we seek out intentionally as it shows a willingness to truly be a part of the team and not the star of the show. Ability with humility is the mantra :)

What do you do if your salary negotiation is approaching?
Compensation can be tough to navigate as you don't want to appear greedy or "leave money on the table". Find balance. What is most important to you? For some, it is cash comp NOW. For others, it is total potential value of longer term comp. Do some soul searching to uncover your priorities and then stick to them. We live in a very transparent time which is good and bad. The good news is, the internet has lots of amazing resources for you to research your fair & competitive worth. The bad news is, there are way too many sources of information and not all are created equal. Lastly, money really is not everything - if you are happy with your job, I would guess you would also be happy to make a little less than someone who is grumpy.

Here's how you can bounce back after a career setback in recruiting.
Reflection brings with it a wide array of emotions. Tapping into intuitive thought seems to always produce the best guidance. Get quite to receive inspired direction from your higher power and/or higher self. Surround yourself with people who want the best for you and folks who may be going through the same thing. Ask them for help and offer up your help to them. We are in this together. Set boundaries with those who may bring you down. Never give up. Believe in yourself and try to catch negative self talk as soon as possible. There is a bigger plan and this could lead to something incredible for you. Here to help you along in your journey - please message me anytime.
