Human Rights
The Association of Genocide Widows AVEGA AGAHOZO (Association des Veuves du Génocide Agahozo) is a not for profit association established in January 1995 in the aftermath of the Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsis in Rwanda.
The creation of AVEGA took root from the awareness that “unity makes strength”, and that only by combining their efforts and organizing themselves, these widows could successfully deal with their common challenges and resolve them.
