Proud to serve on six-member Technical Advisory Committee for LA Care Health Plan, California’s local initiative Medicaid Managed Care health plan for Los Angeles County, serving nearly 2.2 million members.

The California Future Health Workforce Commission, which brings together leaders in the health, education, and workforce development sectors, will convene over the next 15 months to draft a master plan to bolster the health workforce with an emphasis on primary care, behavioral health, and care for the aging. It is the first time that top statewide leaders from these sectors have coordinated efforts to address this issue

Proud to serve as a member of Health Career Connection (HCC), a national non-profit that inspires and empowers undergraduate students, recent graduates, and HCC alumni, particularly those from under-represented or disadvantaged backgrounds, to choose and successfully pursue authentic healthcare and public health careers. Over the past 33 years, HCC has grown to a national organization operating in 11 regions.

As adjunct faculty in the Department of Health Systems Science, I leverage my leadership experience and industry expertise to teach medical students to become skilled change agents by providing a foundation in the social & structural drivers of health equity.
