Every year a group of churches in the chicagoland area raise money by hosting the CROP walk. The Crop walk in a nationwide event that transforms communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. During my local CROP walk I am responsible for helping to layout the 5k and 1k walking routes. This involved making wooden signs and posting them throughout the walk so participants stayed the course. I was also responsible for helping to run the event and clean up once the final participant finished the walk.

Poverty Alleviation
Members of my church and family drove to Chicago to volunteer at Cornerstone Soup Kitchen to help feed people who were having a hard time. At Cornerstone I was responsible for preparing and serving food as well as cleaning dishes and wiping of tables once the people had left.
