“At the time, Dr. Paul Reed led Global Health Operations at the Office of the Surgeon General, USPHS (Washington, DC) and visited US Southern Command (Miami, FL) on several occassions to support a newly concieved interagengy international health partnership between HHS and SOUTHCOM to leverage the skills and expertise of PHS officers by including them in SOUTHCOM humanitarian missions. CAPT Reed also participated personally on a riverine MEDRETE mission in 2010 and has personal experience in the value of PHS participation of these missions. CAPT Reed is a highly skilled and tremendously driven Medical Director that uses his intuition, personality, people skills and the power of people working together towards a common good. His enthusiasm makes you recognize that any potential roadbocks are only temporary. He is an honest and trustworthy man of the highest character. I hope you have the opportunity to work with CAPT Paul Reed -- your life will be changed because of it. CAPT Bill Henriques”
