📣📡 How To Switch To Lightning Threading Email threading in Salesforce refers to the process of automatically grouping related emails together in the context of a specific record, typically a case. This way, you can see the entire conversation history between a customer and your support team in one place. Salesforce offers a few different methods for achieving email threading: 📌 Lightning Threading (available since Spring ’23): This is the newest approach and relies on secure tokens embedded in outgoing emails. When a customer replies to an email with a token, Salesforce can match it back to the relevant case. 📌 Email Header-Based Threading: This method looks for a specific email header field (Message-ID) in the “In-Reply-To” and “References” fields to link replies to the original email. 📌 Ref ID-Based Threading (mostly replaced by Lightning Threading): In this older method, a reference ID was included in the email subject line to associate replies with a particular case. Lightning threading is generally considered the most secure and reliable option, as it avoids potential issues with customers modifying the subject line and removing the Ref ID. 📒 https://lnkd.in/eFUkV3eD

Often, there are things nonprofits wish they had within the user interface that they currently don't have. It even came up in a recent Salesforce Saturday when someone requested a presentation entitled: "Page Layouts that make sense!" Some requests come in from users and I've thought, "I think you need a Lightning component for that, but I don't know how to build Lightning Components." I recently discovered this awesome app called Avonni that sits on top of Salesforce, and I’m excited to share it with you. Avonni includes free ScreenFlow components that let you do some really cool things with your user interface. For example, for grants managers, I’ve used Avonni to set up a data table on the left side showing all grant opportunities grouped by stage, and on the right side, there’s a list of upcoming deliverables. It’s been super handy for managing tasks without needing auto flows! One of my favorite features is viewing deliverables in a calendar form. I can see at a glance what’s coming up, like a due date for a Gates Foundation grant. Once the deliverable is done, I can just update the close date, save, and check it off my list. There are so many possibilities with Avonni. You can easily customize data tables, add buttons and icons, and make it searchable and sortable. The Avonni calendar component also allows for easy data mapping and clickable functions, making management a breeze. I’ve only scratched the surface and can’t wait to show you more nonprofit use cases. It's Monday and I thought to bring this to your attention. Is your business compliant with your jurisdiction's law? 🤔 You see, Compliance is dreaded by many organizations which should not be. Using Salesforce saves you the hassles. There are various types of compliance mechanism within salesforce that your business can decide to use. The 2 most common you might know are: GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which if breach as a fine of up to 20 million euros or 4% of the company's annual global turnover. 🤑 CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) which is enforced in California and has a fine of about $2500 per violation. 💰 Others are: COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) is operational in the USA. PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is an industry standard compliance protocol for companies in the financial sectors. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a federal law operational in the USA for businesses in the health sector. PII (Personally Identifiable Information). These are information used to identify an individual whether it is an 'Alias' or 'Social Security Number'. This is recognized globally and is adapted based on the jurisdiction like the ones discussed above. Having a compliance team is great but you need to implement CRM solution that automate that process for you. My DMs are open to discuss about implementation of compliance for your CRM solution and save your business some money.
