    It has significance in real time environment because it enables several important applications such as missile/enemy detection-tracking, random object tracking, human/mechanical robots, military bases, traffic assistance, satellite tracking from the base station, aircraft tracking and detection

    Object Tracking is a mechanism which tracks the object continuously based on a concept of IMAGE PROCESSING.
    Tracking was done by a webcam which was placed on the pan & tilt mechanism. After capturing the image, the processed image was divided into 9 sectors and then the main objective was to maintain the image in the centre sector of webcam.
    The overall structure of object tracking composed of software module and hardware module. The hardware module comprised of opto-coupler IC, webcam, 25 pin parallel port, DC motors. Coding done by MATLAB.
