Here's how you can gain public speaking experience through temporary and contract work.
Public speaking comes naturally to some and not others. Regardless of which category you find yourself in, you can still be a successful public speaker. My 6 key tips are: 1) Know exactly "what' you are speaking about and "who" you are speaking to. 2) Plan the flow of your speech so you carry people along; it has to feel like a story unfolding. 3) Practice, Practice, Practice. And if you've already mastered your speech - then just think it over one more time before your presentation. 4) Get good rest & stay hydrated because it helps keep you calm. 5) Look the part - dress confidently & present well - based on your style. and 6) Always remember to throw in a little humor!

How can you resolve conflicts with change-resistant physicians?
Allow TIME for change to occur: It takes time to change and relearn new habits. So be sure to have a change management plan that allows most (if not all) physicians to move at their pace of change to increase buy-in and adoption. This change management plan should also adjust for time & effort to address resistance to change.
