As a Future City Competition mentor, I provided leadership, encouragement and experience to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to imagine, design, build and explain their cities of the future. The competition is a national, project-based learning experience where students work as a team, along with their teacher and engineering mentor, to plan cities, research yearly national engineering challenges, build scale models from recycled materials and present their ideas to a panel of volunteer…
As a Future City Competition mentor, I provided leadership, encouragement and experience to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to imagine, design, build and explain their cities of the future.
