Our vision is to turn Immunity Project into a global movement, bring a new level of visibility and transparency to this kind of research, and to dramatically increase the funding velocity for critical projects like this. The scientists involved in this effort are Dr. David Heckerman, inventor of the spam filter, AAAI fellow & machine learning / artificial intelligence scientist @ Microsoft Research, and Dr. Reid Rubsamen, drug delivery system expert and founder of Flow Pharma. Our vaccine platform uses machine learning to sift through blood samples from people with a natural immunity to HIV (i.e. HIV controllers) to identify the specific virus surface targets favored by those individuals.
