On May 30, Governor of Vermont has signed S.25 (Act 131) which revises Senate Bill 20: An act relating to restrictions on perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other chemicals of concern in consumer products. This Act will be effective in phases starting July 1, 2024. Repeals existing regulation on January 1, 2026. This Act prohibits a manufacturer from selling, offering for sale, distributing for sale, or distributing for use in this State products containing certain chemicals or chemical classes, including PFAS.
