You can also mention any productive activities during this period, like taking courses, obtaining certifications, or volunteering. 3. Update Your Skills: The mortgage industry evolves rapidly. Ensure your resume reflects your current knowledge of market trends, regulatory changes, and any new software or tools you've mastered. Highlight any recent training or certifications that keep you competitive. 4. Quantify Your Achievements: Use metrics to demonstrate your impact. For instance, "Processed and approved over $50M in loans annually," or "Reduced application processing time by 30% through workflow optimization." Numbers help recruiters see your tangible contributions. 5. Showcase Soft Skills: Skills like income calculation, attention to detail, and problem-solving are critical in the mortgage industry.
