    Teacher, mentor, guide. The NVW is a week long 'bootcamp' for professional visual storytellers with an emphasis on television news gathering. It is an immersive 13 hour a day experience. I first attended as a student and learned from some of the best photojournalists and storytellers in television news. Based on the strength of my daily storytelling, I was asked to join the Faculty.     Act as solutions driven intermediary between the 25 SAGAFTRA represented on-air Members and the mid and upper level management at WJZ-TV. Counsels Members on what steps to take when their concerns are not directly related to the contract. Help management to understand our positions and how they can benefit the station. Consistently work to improve the safety for all of those who work for the station.
