2023 | Volunteered at a rest station and fundraised a small amount of money.

My personal mission over the next year is to identify, align, promote current community programs in partnership with public health, local government, and health systems, as well as to, execute new programs, including World Diabetes Day events. Currently, there are 11 representatives in the United States, and I am one of only two advocates with Type 2 diabetes active at this time.

Living with Type 2 Diabetes cause Diabetic Retinopathy, I was invited to serve as a patient advocate, providing participation in programs including panels as well as face-to-face video programs with other champions. The ADA decided to focus on healthcare professionals in 2024.

This meeting was over a three-day period and included nearly 150 from around the globe of those who live with or work within affiliated organizations serving the population. I was invited due to my relationship with the IDF BCV, as well as being a T2D. The details of this meeting will help form WHO's Global Diabetes Compact (GCD), being released to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin in Aprile 2021.

Assisted the program manager with marketing the event to the public as well as working as an event day volunteer for setup, the event and breakdown. The event was held in Rochester, New York.

Served as registration volunteer, and recruited six family members to volunteer for the annual March for Babies walk in Piscataway, NJ.

I was a member of the committee, emcee at the opening ceremonies and ran a team.

Served as an advisory board member as a patient, and and a district level diabetes program lead for an NGO.

Invited in 2014 by the president of the organization' to serve on the advisory board, primarily for COLCI's communications and marketing. In 2016, appointed as the marketing lead on the board of directors.
