    I served as team manager as well as the HTML, Sass/CSS, and JavaScript lead. I worked with the Yelp Search API along with the Google Maps API, using the user's location and search criteria to find the nearest suitable restaurants through Yelp, reverse geocoding them to find latitude/longitude, and then mapping them on request onto the map. I'd never worked with the Yelp API (which surprisingly doesn't list the latitude/longitude of returned restaurants), Sass, or geocoding (let alone reverse…

I'd never worked with the Yelp API (which surprisingly doesn't list the latitude/longitude of returned restaurants), Sass, or geocoding (let alone reverse geocoding), so this was a nice crash course in all three as well as in working with JavaScript and AJAX call scoping. We ended up tying for 2nd place out of all projects in the class.

I worked on the overall design of how we would format the site's layout and also aided in creating the objects we would use to determine a student's major.
