“I had an amazing experience working with Megan where she helped manage our AI and Search efforts at Emcee on the data pod. She was able to grasp technically difficult concepts (graph database models, OpenAI vector embeddings, search boosting algorithms) and relay our innovations to other teams, helping them know exactly how the algorithms were working under the hood. Prior to her joining the data team, our stakeholders were left confused and not aware of when certain features were shipped, or even worse pitch bad ideas about how AI could be game changing from different teams and non technical audiences. After her joining deliverables were clearly communicated and there was no debate over when things would go live. She acted as an important funnel to help us prioritize the efforts that delivered crucial business impact enabling us to build a user feed algorithm three months ahead of schedule and a search experience one month ahead of schedule. She also provided great insight and did additional research into tools we would need, like recommending aurora to provide SQL like capabilities while remaining on an AWS servelerless cloud. More importantly than how incredible she is as a product manager, she is an amazing human being to work with and someone that will brighten up your day and team. A specific example of this was her introducing a daily pulse check even during a stressful period at Emcee.
