Disaster and Humanitarian Relief
Helped lead a year-long service project to gather 4,000 pairs of eyeglasses to donate to Hondurans with eye needs. The process included gathering, cleaning, sorting, reading, labeling, and cataloging all pairs of eyeglasses. This year-long project was successful and all of the 4,000 pairs of eyeglasses were taken to Honduras in the early summer of 2015.

Led a team in the creation of an online platform designed to provide a more efficient way to connect high school and college students with nonprofits to work on mission-driven projects. The idea was called Citrus and was prototyped and pitched during the weekend event.

Pitt Startup Blitz - 3rd Place Winner (SoloSafe)
University of Pittsburgh - Innovation Institute
After competing in a two-day startup competition, the SoloSafe team designed a social innovation that strives to help prevent drug-related sexual assault. SoloSafe placed 3rd overall out of 31 teams competing in this competition.

Blast Furnace Demo Day - 2nd Place Winner

After completing an extensive 8-week boot camp based on taking an idea and building it into a startup by focusing on customer discovery, product/market fit, and other areas, the PaprPlane team won 2nd place at the Blast Furnace Demo Day organized by the University of Pittsburgh's Innovation Institute.

2nd Annual Pitt Mobile App Challenge Mockup Category "Best of Fair" Winner

This award was presented to the number one most voted app mockup during the App Fair portion of the Pitt Mobile App Challenge. During this App Fair, teams pitched their ideas to college students in an effort to get the most votes in a 45 minute time window. I worked alongside Dean Bogdanovic for this category and our winning mockup was for an app called "SyllaSort" which allows students to transfer all of their deadlines from their syllabi to their personal Google Calendar in seconds.
