It was great hearing from prior Hiring Our Heroes alums talk about their previous experiences going through the Fellowship program. It helped put this first week at our host companies into perspective. The biggest takeaways that I got were: 1. Be humble and hungry to learn! 2. My network IS my net worth. 3. Treat every interaction as a potential interview and show you are a team player. 4. Soft skills > Technical skills 5. Remember to focus on my well-being. Any other advice from anyone for onboarding into a new job?

The Indo-Pacific region is rapidly emerging as the strategic priority for the United States. In this critical region, the US Department of Defense and Department of State run educational and training programs like the Regional Defense Fellowship Program (RDFP) and International Military Education and Training (IMET) to foster closer military partnerships.
