“We engaged Matthew and Defiance Digital to help us rebuild our AWS Architecture from the ground up, a total nuke and pave from the previous platform, which was needlessly complex. We initially requested to have it built out in Terraform. Although it was still relatively new at the time, Matthew took the time to show us the power of the AWS CDK and why he recommended we utilize that versus Terraform. It was quickly apparently that the CDK allowed for much less code to accomplish the same thing as Terraform, while still utilizing popular languages as as Javascript/Typescript or Python. Once the decision was made, we went from zero to cutting the ribbon on our application in a mere 3 months - something the previous team wasn't able to accomplish in 1.5 years! There is no way we could have accomplished that goal without Matthew's help and guidance. Matthew quickly proved to us why he is an AWS Hero - nothing short of a heroic effort could have accomplished so much in such a small amount of time.”
