I worked with Edson (12yr old) who visited me at the Groupon office every Thursday for about two months. During our time together, I helped him identify common every day problems he and his friends were having. We then turned those pain points into possible startup ideas. After many user studies and a few test landing pages, we created a presentation deck for one of the most promising solutions. My goal was to try to teach Edson problem-solving, research, and communication skills.

    I have been mentoring Kayla(13yr old) on design and product thinking for about a year. Kayla is one of my past colleague's daughters who showed interest in learning design. When we first started she did not know anything about design at all. Today she has designed and shipped her first iPhone app in the Apple app store.
