    School of Art, Craft, and Design

    In 2020, I was among eight students in the School of Art, Craft & Design awarded the Bacchanal Scholarship.

    The Bacchanal Scholarship is awarded every year to eight students in any of the School of Art, Craft & Design BFA concentrations (Art Education, Painting, Design, Clay, Fiber, Glass, Metals or Wood). The students must be in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and submit a portfolio of images representing their studio work.

    Annual Juried TTU BFA Student Art Exhibition, Juror: Kathryn Hall

    In 2019, two of my pieces were in the Annual Juried TTU BFA Student Art Exhibition in the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN juried by Kathryn Hall. Included in the exhibit were works created from a wide range of mediums that show the breadth, skill and artistic vision of the artists from each of the SAC&D’s eight studio concentration areas: art education, clay, digital media, fibers, glass, metals, painting, and wood.

    In 2019, two of my pieces were in the Annual Juried TTU BFA Student Art Exhibition in the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN juried by Kathryn Hall. Included in the exhibit were works created from a wide range of mediums that show the breadth, skill and artistic vision of the artists from each of the SAC&D’s eight studio concentration areas: art education, clay, digital media, fibers, glass, metals, painting, and wood.

    The pieces of mine that were in the show were a digital painting of Father John Misty and an acrylic painting on canvas inspired by the song Human Sadness by The Voidz. I was one of three students to receive a Juror's Merit Award.

    Art Round Tennessee is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to supporting artists in the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. I was a member of the group and participated in the Art Prowl of 2019 and 2020. ART Prowl is an annual two-day art fair in Cookeville, TN where over forty local artists exhibit in small businesses, galleries, and studios throughout Cookeville's Downtown and West Side. Art Prowl features artwork for sale, artist demonstrations, workshops, and other art-filled fun. My work…
