  • The Effects of Salt on Sunflowers

    Research is being done on how sunflowers react to being grown in a solution of salt water. Sunflowers have shown promising results of being tolerant to salt water. This could lead to eventually growing plants in coastal areas and possibly prevent erosion among other things.
    The research has resulted in an invitation to a conference meeting with Great Plains Honor Council to discuss my results.

    This was a design made within a 24 hour period in which a group of 4 was tasked with designing an fabricating an undercover drone that can monitor conversations and remain discreet in an urban environment. This was done in competition with others to win a contract with Special Operations Command within the United States Government.

  • The effect of decomposing hay on different types of crops

    -

    Treating hay bales with nitrates and water over a week period will significantly accelerate the rate of decomposition, providing a significant amount of fertilizer. As well as killing any pests that may invade the root system due to the significantly high temperature inside the hay bale, furthermore the root system does not require dirt, thus virtually eliminating any type of earthbourne pest. However the type of fertilizer that is produced as a result does not benefit all types of crops tested.
