Athena works with individual women, corporate partners, investor partners, and forward-thinking leaders to create business ecosystems where women can contribute at their highest level of impact in leadership. Our mission is to accelerate gender parity in the boardroom, ensuring that today’s businesses are successfully supported by Modern Boards.

We achieve this by coaching and sponsoring women to brand their relevance while also guiding forward-thinking leaders and engaging male leaders with female leaders in advance of clear board opportunity.

In just three years, Athena has:
Influenced over 5000 leaders through our speaking engagements,
Made over 700 key connections between investment firms, CEOs and boards to top women,
Made over 400 presentations of women to boards,
Secured over 200 first interviews (many continuing on), and has over fifty boards actively considering Athena women today.
Deeply supported and coached over 200 top women from the CMO of Cisco, to the CTO of the Gap, to VPs at companies like Autodesk, Intuit, Okta, Workfront and more.
Athena has supported a number of board appointments, both public and private, including Ansys, CalAmp, Mulesoft, PriceSmart, Barrick Gold, Forrester, MobileIron, BannerBank, Axon, ChowNow, Healthline Media, Bose, Lessonly, and more.

Young people grow up in Washington surrounded by a thriving STEM economy, yet they don't always receive the support they need to participate. If they’re students of color, girls, or rural students, they’re more likely to face disparities.

At Washington STEM we work to increase STEM access, interest, and success for all students. We nurture and scale breakthrough ideas in STEM education and learning, engage in regional, cross-sector partnerships, and advocate for important policy changes to increase student success. We focus our efforts on four key initiatives: computer science, early math, science & engineering, and career-connected learning.

Our goal is to position all young people as “future ready” community members - people with the technical and critical skills needed to thrive in today’s jobs and create and excel in the unknown jobs of tomorrow; people who exemplify opportunity and create shared prosperity for our communities.
