Disaster and Humanitarian Relief
In September 2017 mapped about 1000 buildings to OpenStreetMap in a first week after the Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico (5th category). The map was used by rescue teams to understand where buildings were located before the hurricane to find survivors under the rubble. Overall more that 1800 mappers from OpenStreetMap community mapped 1M buildings in one week.
