    New York Cares

    - Present 15 years 3 months

    I've completed over 200 projects through New York Cares covering a wide variety of organizations and activities, from painting murals in public schools to teaching the basics of personal finance to fifth graders, from city park beautification to knitting blankets for the homeless. My favorite activity, however, is tending to the needs of the residents of the cat loft at BARC, a no-kill animal shelter in Williamsburg.

    Part of the team that designed the launch of Ayesha Curry’s magazine, Sweet July. My focus was on the Taste section, establishing the design of recipes and recurring columns.

    My animation for the “Find Your Focus” feature in Shape’s March 2021 Apple News+ edition is a finalist in this category. Not bad for taking my first After Effects class less than 2 years ago.
