“Dr. Johnson wrote the best dissertation I have seen produced by a graduate student at NIU, demonstrating a very superior level of scholarship and research skills. Given how thoroughly and expertly Dr. Johnson conducted her study, and its high degree of relevance for both research and practice, her findings have already made a significant contribution to the field. Because I continue to believe Dr. Johnson’s study is an extremely valuable contribution with important implications for practice, I have drawn on and highlighted Lisa’s research on several occasions in published work, and have invited her to author a chapter for an edited volume in the field. Since graduating from NIU, Dr. Johnson has shared her many accomplishments in her remarkable research career, including being awarded with several large grants making a significant impact. Interpersonally, Dr. Johnson demonstrates a high degree of collegiality and strong social skills, and was an outstanding instructor of educational psychology as a graduate student. Given her very strong research, analytical, communication, and social skills, I strongly recommend Dr. Johnson, and am available to comment at any time.”
