Today, I got the chance to sit in on the NBCU Academy’s workshop for Broadcast Package Writing. It’s true. Learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. You’re constantly given opportunities to continue to improve and grow. No matter the industry. Here’s something I heard in that workshop that inspired me. “It’s like a muscle you have to keep training it until you get stronger and stronger.” Stronger steps, better form, greater skills.

An incredibly insightful video with great tips. I especially agree with being on time for an interview. I always show up about 10 minutes early whenever I coordinate an interview in person/on zoom. I would also add that building a personal connection with a reporter goes a long way. Whether it's meeting in person or just doing a regular check-in when you don't have a pitch, it absolutely strengthens that relationship. Check out this very helpful video below!
