What are the benefits and risks of customizing SAP for your specific business needs?
An example I've seen in my work regarding digital systems that support finance and sales is how the communication of the process requirements is often on the basis of covering key processes rather than more re-design/enhancement of process. And I believe that is not an issue with an ERP or how it interacts with other systems (Salesforce, Reporting tools, for example) but rather that very few business cultures have enough breadth to think creatively on the lynchpin/connection points between management reporting and financial reporting. For a fit to occur that connection needs to be fleshed out at the top, middle and bottom of the organization or ecosystem.
