How do you apply message design principles to crisis communication and reputation management?
It's important to first evaluate the situation and then act. If a crisis arises, which it will, you must consult your brand values and respond accordingly. If humility is a brand value - then respond with humility. If you made a mistake - take ownership. Do not hesitate to at least begin the process of engaging with your most important allies, board members, and customers; even if the message is simply - "we are aware of the situation, we are doing x things to conduct proper research and will report back with our findings summarizing how we move forward within one hour." It's important to be timely, honest, and avoid being tone deaf. Build trust by claiming what you'll do and following through promptly.

How do you measure the impact of rewards on employee engagement?
I've found that the impact of recognition and the value towards employee experience is truly an individualistic experience. As a coach, I do my best to understand the following in the individuals I coach, and help relay these things to others they may work with or those who might be providing feedback or guidance on their career growth: + What uniquely drives them? What makes them motivated? + What aspects of their personality contribute the most effectively towards the work they do today + How does the work they do best align to their higher self? + How do your passions show up at work and once you identify those, how can you share them? This isn't metrics-based, but I feel like it's impactful in helping to understand each person's WHY
