Regardless of where you deploy Volumes for workloads on Kubernetes that need persistent data, you'll see 3 things. ✅ Container Storage Interface (CSI) ✅ Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) ✅ Volumes The biggest difference is which CSI you use. For example, there's a CSI for Azure, AWS, GCP, an NFS driver, and A LOT more. Because of that, you just want to remember that the key is to understand the CSI you need for your environment. You'll create PVCs and Volumes the same way everywhere. #kubernetes #devops #platformengineering

Top 6 Elastic Load Balancer Use Cases on AWS 🌐 Load balancing is a critical component in modern application architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability. AWS Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) offers a robust solution for distributing incoming application traffic across multiple targets, such as Amazon EC2 instances, containers, IP addresses, and Lambda functions. Let's dive into the top 6 use cases for load balancers: 1. Traffic Distribution 🚦 Load balancers distribute incoming traffic across multiple instances to ensure no single instance bears too much load. This helps in achieving balanced workload distribution, which optimizes resource utilization and improves overall application performance. 2. High Availability 💡 High availability ensures that your application remains operational even if one or more instances fail. Load balancers automatically redirect traffic from unhealthy instances to healthy ones, maintaining service continuity. 3. SSL Termination 🔐 SSL termination at the load balancer reduces the burden on your application servers by handling the SSL decryption process. This allows servers to focus on processing requests rather than decrypting traffic. 4. Session Persistence 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Session persistence (or sticky sessions) ensures that all requests from a user during a session are sent to the same instance. Load balancers continuously check the health of registered instances and remove unhealthy ones from the traffic pool until they recover. AWS Solution for each use case:   1. Application Load Balancer (ALB) distributes HTTP and HTTPS traffic across multiple targets, Network Load Balancer (NLB) allows TCP, UDP, and TLS traffic efficiently. 2. Both helps monitor the health of registered targets and redirect traffic away from unhealthy instances. 3. ALB terminates SSL connections and forwards decrypted traffic to the backend instances. 4. ALB uses cookies to ensure that user sessions are routed to the same target, maintaining a seamless user experience. 5. ALB and NLB both works seamlessly with Auto Scaling to add or remove instances based on traffic patterns. 6.
