The big lie right now is that we need saved from Trump. If we can survive Biden, Trump is a cake walk. So what is the real deal? It's the same setting as the Revolutionary period. You had the patriots, which were the elite American Aristocrat rebels, and the imperial rule of Britain over a large portion of the inhabited world. So the world was very much under the rule of the crown 👑. They wanted to force those in opposition into courts without jury. Basically military tribunals. They increased the tax enforcers in the colonies. Like Biden hiring 60k-80k irs agents. This is exactly what is happening now. The globalist have the loyalist liberals that want to give our property and resources to a global power, and weaken our sovereignty. The patriots, want to put America first and maintain superiority, and sovereignty. It is not Trump they fear. It's any conservatives being president. If conservatives win they will completely rip a good portion of government out of DC including the justice department. So the government will be remodeled. This is not the plan of Trump alone, but a group effort of many fraternal orders, and societies. They know if Trump wins, the rigged globalist establishment is about to be dismantled. We have to do something. Push all the bs aside. We can't continue collecting 1 trillion in debt every 100 days. Our financial system is starting to sound like crypto. We socially can't continue dismantling our police forces, and weakening the rule of law. We can't continue to pervert kids minds, and giving sub par education. If we are going to survive in the long run, we need to make some fundamental conservative changes. Since ww2 we have been taxed to death, and both parties have equally screwed the American Citizens. It's over. If conservatives take office they will drop the conservative hammer on this country. It will help us, but in reality it's only going to buy us time, or prolong the inevitable. The reason is ultimately what makes countries great are its people. We are divided, and we have become lazy.

We've got to do a better job of getting across that America is freedom -- freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs production [protection]. So, we've got to teach history based not on what's in fashion but what's important -- why the Pilgrims came here, who Jimmy Doolittle was, and what those 30 seconds over Tokyo meant. You know, 4 years ago on the 40th anniversary of D - day, I read a letter from a young woman writing to her late father, who'd fought on Omaha Beach. Her name was Lisa Zanatta Henn, and she said, ``we will always remember, we will never forget what the boys of Normandy did.'' Well, let's help her keep her word. If we forget what we did, we won't know who we are. I'm warning of an eradication of the American memory that could result, ultimately, in an erosion of the American spirit. I saw an oped today stating "How many MK-84s (i.e. 2,000 lbs bombs) did the U.S. use in urban warfare in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan? Virtually none." That is pretty crazy. While not recorded if they were dropped in rural or urban areas, the U.S. dropped thousands just in the invasion phase of Iraq. Actually 14 x 5,000 lbs bombs and 5,460 x 2000 lbs bombs. Many on military targets in cities (Baghdad, Nasiriyaa, Basra, etc). The U.S. dropped 4 x 2,000 lbs on a building in Baghdad based on "time-sensitive intelligence that some senior Iraqi officials, possibly including Saddam and his two sons, were there." We dropped others on command centers. GBU 31 – (2,000lbs) – 5,086; GBU 10 – (2,000lbs) – 236; EGBU-27 – (2,000lbs) – 98; GBU 24 – (2,000lbs) – 23; GBU 27 – (2,000lbs) – 11; MK 84 – (2,000lbs) -- 6; GBU 28 – (5,000lbs) – 1; GBU 37 – (5,000lbs) – 13 The question I would ask is how many targets did the U.S. prosecute in bunkers/tunnels that required large munitions to penetrate the ground. What I have found in my life is that there is a tendency by the elite to overestimate their ability to conceal their intentions and an under estimation of the public to see through their machinations. This leads those in power to have the impression that they can fabricate without leaving a trace. Examples that come to mind are Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, and Nancy Pelosi. However, the list is very long and my examples being prominent Democrats is merely a coincidence. See how it is done? But, seriously, this kind of hubris is all too prevalent. That is, the idea that the vast majority of people are mere putty to be played with. And, while it does appear they can fool most of the people most of the time, they are having increasing difficulty fooling everyone. Their credibility having been forfeited by being caught too many times fibbing. This deduction is relevant in the way the media and politicians have been using misdirection and subterfuge in the reporting of the Hamas-Israel war in Gaza. Two stories emerge from the WSJ today to make the point. First, we have a report from the U.N. that its investigation into "neutrality" violations of its Relief and Works Agency in Gaza reveals it is riddled with Hamas infiltration. In addition to participating directly in Hamas military operations UNRWA has been systematically propagandizing Gazan children with textbooks filled with antisemitic and anti-Israeli propaganda. Israel had long complained about UNRWA being a Hamas front group, but it was not until the October 7th events and employees of UNRWA found to have participated with Hamas in its assault on Israel that the U.N. was moved to do something about it. The push basically was the U.S. and most of Western Europe pausing contributions to UNRWA until Israel's allegations could be investigated. The U.N. apparently believed that mere denial was sufficient to keep donor countries complacent. But. faced with funding cut off, now the U.N. can say how shocked they were by these findings and promise "reform." Secondly, we learn from an Op-ed by Steven Stalinsky, Executive Director of the Middle East Media Research Institute, who is behind the anti-Israel Protests on college campuses. Stalinsky writes "Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis are grooming activists in the U.S. and across the West." These groups have infiltrated the Pro-Palestinian movement and this is clear from how protests morphed from "cease fire" protests into anti-American and antisemitic tirades calling for the elimination of Israel. This radicalization of the protests were the result of the organizers being emboldened by the weak response they have gotten to this point from Biden and the media. He concludes, it is no coincidence that the official statements by Hamas and the major jihadist groups and the protests are nearly identical.

Here is the problem with gun control laws like this … they don’t address the problem! It merely provides the ability to virtue signal and say, well at least we are doing something! As an old retired General friend of mine used to say, “never confuse effort with progress.” Every time you pass a law like this (especially involving constitutional rights), you should be able to point to specific events that this law would have prevented. You can’t do it in this case, why? 1. AG Garland said that he’s, “… known the whole time it was the repeat offenders and the gangs that do the principal amount of violence,” https://lnkd.in/dcAYPZ6J - gangs and repeat offenders don’t purchase their weapons at gun stores - they typically deal in guns stolen from legal owners … which already passed a background check and, for the most part, have had their guns for a long time. - even if they did go to a gun store, the existing FBI background check for ALL gun purchases would result in a denial - current law is sufficient, enforcement is lacking! 2. What about underage children (under 21) that have guns and shoot others, sometimes on purpose and sometimes accidentally? - it is already against the law for them to have these weapons - some get them from “the street” and others take/steal them from legal owners (including parents) - how does a 7 day ban impact them having weapons illegally? - current law is sufficient, enforcement is lacking! - a law that requires gun owners to secure and protect their weapons is good, including criminal liability if they fail to secure them 3. There have been several shootings in NM involving people that bought firearms legally and passed the background check. - None of them purchased the weapon and then used it within the week. Typically, it was purchased months or years before. - how does a 7 day ban impact these situations? 4. What about suicides? - that was not the justification for this law, see below - "This legislation strikes at the heart of issues that are keeping New Mexicans up at night," Grisham said in a statement after signing the bill. "We are losing far too many lives when guns get into the wrong hands and violent criminals are allowed to recommit again and again. This legislation addresses both." - in any case suicide is a mental health issue certainly worthy of support As we’ve shown, the 7 day waiting period does not keep guns out of the hands of criminals or even underage individuals. Driving while intoxicated is a huge problem, especially in NM. You know how it is dealt with? - stringent enforcement of the law, no exceptions You know how it isn’t dealt with? - limits, bans, or waiting periods for vehicles and liquor Maybe we should take a DUI like approach to gun crimes – strictly enforce the law. Do that for a few years and then let’s see if something else needs to be done. Vote policies, not party Stay strong, stay free

A note about H.R. 2864- the Countering CCP Drones Act. TLDR: It’s bills like this that reinforce my disdain for American politics, misguided politicians, and overreach government actions. As is, this bill will destroy small business, shatter our country’s drone capabilities, and set us back a decade compared to our near-peer adversaries (which have already outpaced us). Our near peer adversaries embrace technology while our politicians age ungracefully in the US’s most prestigious senior care home (the US Capitol Complex). The TikTok and Facebook hearings were proof that we have elected and entrusted incompetent buffoons to run this country. I spent a total of 13 years in the US military. I’ve contracted for over two years with the government. I’ve been in the gov sphere long enough to have sufficient qualification to call them incompetent. No one’s surprised. The government wants to eliminate Chinese made drones from flying inside the US. They got word that DJI was back-dooring data and collecting telemetry and possibly imagery files from users. They’ve known about this for 6 years now!!!!! In the 6 years since this first got on their radar, have they moved to bolster or invest in American made consumer drone companies? NO. They want to compete with China, but don’t invest like the Chinese do in their technology. Pure incompetence. DJI owns 95% or more of the Us consumer drone market. With H.R. 2864, there is no plan to compensate or replace those drones for operators. The government is simply deleting all available and existing tools to operators today. The drone gig industry is already suffering as US customers are just waking up to how to use drone data. We’re on the cusp of finally marrying satellite/aerial/drone data across the country for real time remote sensing with variable scale. That’s HUGE. But the government - the senile twits in DC don’t understand this. They’re too busy running ponzi schemes and doing insider trades to secure their bloodline and party power. The government is going to do what it’s going to do. I happily let my TS clearance expire because of dumb shit like this. There’s enough letters circulating articulating why the bill should be vetoed. This commentary isn’t one of those. I just want to rant about how fucked and broken our government is.

Often Republicans ask the question, how bad does it have to get for citizens living in Blue cities and states before they throw the bums out? We assume there is a bottom that when reached voters will revolt. But where that bottom is is anyone's guess. The only thing I can deduce from current polls is that we may be close in places like California and New York. I was just watching a Youtube by a guy who makes videos about how average New Yorkers try to survive in one of the most expensive cities in the world. His latest video describes how New York City is planning to raise everyone's water bills. One might say given the city's infrastructure problems that this isn't uncalled for. But, as he points out, the billions raised are going into the "general fund." And, 89% of New Yorkers say they have no faith that the city spends its money wisely. So, it's assumed any money raised will literally "go down the drain." Is it any wonder that New York is losing population to red states? Over in California, it does seem the natives are getting restless as well. Today's WSJ lead editorial is "A Voter Revolt Grows in California." Governor Gavin Newsom might be the pretty boy of the Democrat Party and the hope for the future. But, in his home state, he is becoming increasingly unpopular with his high-handed manner of governing. As you know, California has a democratic system that allows citizens to put initiatives on the ballot. But, the editorial indicates that Newsom and Democrats in Sacramento are trying to block anti-tax and anti-crime initiatives. The anti-crime initiatives would increase penalties for theft, shoplifting, and drug crimes. Things California liberal politicians have refused to address adequately, and which are adding to declines in the quality of life. Californians are also fed up with high taxes which seem to have bought them nothing but government dysfunction. But, apparently the Governor and Democrats in Sacramento don't trust the voters to know what is best for them and so are trying to sabotage any initiatives that would change either tax and spend habits or increase penalties for crime. If indeed Democrats are successful in frustrating efforts to address these critical issues, perhaps they will also be fed up with voting for the politicians who create this dysfunction. Another article in the WSJ today speaks of frustration farmers in California are having with regulators in the state who are hampering their efforts to make a living. Despite huge rainfalls this past year which eased drought conditions, the WSJ reports that California is continuing to starve farmers there of needed water. The reason? Apparently, pumping water from north to south upsets the ecology of water ways and harms some kinds of fish. So, pumping of water has slowed so the fish are happy. But, the farmers are not. Just another example of how liberal ideology doesn't properly balance various constituencies interests.

News Alert From the Always Dishonest Washington Post Trump asked oil CEOs at Mar-a-Lago to raise $1 billion for his campaign, vowed to target EVs, say people who knew of meeting "At a meeting last month at his Florida club, Donald Trump told some of the nation’s top oil executives they should invest in his presidential campaign instead of spending huge sums lobbying the Biden administration, according to people with knowledge of the meeting, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private conversation. Trump told the executives that if he returns to office, he would quickly reverse President Biden’s climate and energy policies. The result, Trump said, would be more offshore oil drilling, exports of liquified natural gas and support for gas-powered cars, instead of electric vehicles." Leave it to the Post to make a Trump fund raising event sound like a sinister plot. How dare Donald Trump collude with the evil "fossil fuel" industry to try to save the gasoline powered automobile. I am sure a headline like this just makes Democrat climate activists blood boil. Trump siding with the fossil fuel industry and promising to protect them from the clutches of the Democrat green energy cabal. However, let's put this in perspective. You don't think Biden is not secretly meeting with his major donors, the Unions, and promising if re-elected that the various public and private unions will be given special treatment? And really, which group of special interests are more deleterious to the public weal? The fossil fuel industry that keeps America running as a super power, or the Teachers Union that keeps poor kids trapped in failing schools? As for what Biden and the green energy lobby he so actively supports has wrought on American consumers, how about this tidbit from today's WSJ. General Motors has announced that it will stop production in November of the Chevy Malibu. The WSJ says that Chevy has sold 10 million Malibu's. It is my rental car of preference when the wife and I travel. But, this apparently will be its last model year. But, what is significant about this, more than just a model change, is that Malibu is the next to last gasoline powered vehicle that GM sells. After the Malibu passes into history, Chevy will use its plant to produce Bolts. That will leave the Corvette as the "only" gas powered car GM makes. That, in my opinion is a "wow." Much of the car buying public do not want to buy EV's, yet the biggest car company in the U.S. now has virtually stopped making them except for a niche muscle car most people can't afford. And the Washington Post wants to make it seem that Trump asking for campaign donations from the fossil fuel industry is sinister? How about how Obama and Biden just about killed the U.S. auto industry by siding with the unions in exorbitant contracts that made U.S. cars less competitive. And how they distorted the production of cars to EV's despite consumer resistance.

Why are the rich and the upper middle class fleeing blue states for red states? Its poor governance by politicians who seem not to give a damn. What is left in places like New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles are mostly the lower middle class and underclass. The middle class can't afford to move. And the underclass are satisfied with living a subsistence lifestyle on public assistance. That in a nutshell is why, despite some of these cities being in doom loops, the political environment never changes. Those who would push reform have decamped to Florida or some other tax haven. Thus, those who are left are basically trapped. The problem is when a city like Chicago is in a doom loop, and state and city taxes are already 12% of a median family's income, and business and property taxes are already the worst of any major city, there is really very little room for politicians to maneuver. And that is even assuming they would want to. That is the verdict of an Op-ed in today's WSJ titled "Chicago Will Need a Miracle to Escape Its Debt Burden." The short answer from the author Judge Glock in his Op-ed is that it can't and it won't. That is because despite the obvious red lights blinking in his face, Mayor Brandon Johnson, will not address the city's debt problem by constraining spending. That is because the greatest source of the city's debt is its civil pension system. Which it can neither afford, nor avoid continuing to support. The collusion between generations of Chicago politicians with its city unions have left it with more pension debt than any American city and more than the vast majority of states. And 75% of this debt is "unfunded" and has to be paid out of current tax receipts. Not surprisingly this has left Chicago with the worst debt rating of any large American city. And Glock adds, that "it has done nothing to reform its bad habits." As a result, businesses and those who can afford it are leaving, which is no recipe for long-term success. Quite the opposite. Chicago may be the worst run large city in America, but it is certainly not alone. As mentioned at the beginning, every major Democrat city is facing similar problems and dealing with them just as ineffectively. Take New York City. I was watching a Youtube video yesterday about real estate there. The reason rents are so high and vacancy rates of rental properties are so low is that the rich are now renting instead of buying. Why? Because prices of luxury properties is so astronomical that there is no upside in buying. If real estate is not a good investment why tie up millions of dollars in it. Better to rent and much cheaper. Also, easier to pick up and move. That is the moral of the story of how people cope with dysfunctional government. They adjust as much as possible and when that no longer works they just move. Whoever is left will still vote for Democrats so why should the politicians change?
