Let’s check under the hood with a few quick takeaways from the year’s State of Downtown Tulsa report, via the Downtown Tulsa Partnership: ⦿ Visitors to Downtown have exceeded pre-pandemic levels, increasing to 2.15 million in 2023 from 2.12 million in 2019. ⦿ Demand for Downtown housing is expected to continue to rise. ⦿ Downtown residents love their neighborhood! In a survey, 79% responded “yes” when asked if they would be interested in participating in a neighborhood association or group of neighbors. Tulsa World Media Company recently released an article about Oklahoma’s film incentives and the economic benefits they create. According to the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, there was nearly a 5% increase of Oklahomans working in TV and film 2005-2019, a period when all industries across the state grew less than 1%. According to the 2020 Incentive Evaluation Commission report Oklahoma was ranked 10th in the nation for employment growth in the industry. Learn more in the article below. #OkieFilm

We're excited to announce the launch of a new start-up venture that recently secured funding through TruStart Financial. The entrepreneur behind this initiative is establishing a residential junk removal service catering to the local Dallas community. The capital obtained through TruStart Financial will be utilized for acquiring necessary equipment and promoting the business. Despite encountering difficulties in obtaining financing from the Small Business Administration (SBA), our borrower successfully accessed funding through our credit-based program, securing $125,000 through a five-year term loan.
