The outdoors are essential to our happiness, health, and well-being.

Quality parks and green spaces are fundamental for sustaining equitable, resilient communities. Access to nature and the outdoors—close to home, in the cities and communities where people live—is a matter of health, equity, and justice. That’s why we work alongside communities across the country to create, protect, and steward the nature-rich places that are vital to human well-being.

The Be One Mentoring is a mentorship program designed by SHE Changes Climate to support young, budding professionals in developing career-specific skills in sustainability, climate action, and environmental protection. In particular, the program seeks to provide practical tools, leadership skills, network contacts, orientation advice, mental health and psychosocial support to high-potential individuals who are dedicated to addressing the planetary emergency. The focus is to unlock their potential to create positive impacts for the people and communities around them, while keeping a good balance and a sustained level of energy in their life. The program aims at boosting their careers, while preventing them and their teams from the risks of eco-anxiety, burn-out or depression. The red thread is to develop a high level of resilience to be able to navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world and the occurrence of systemic shocks such as climate break-down, biodiversity collapse, war and conflicts or pandemics.
