Create, interpret and implement policies; ensuring departmental, division, fiscal & University objectives are met. Through high level and effective collaborations, ensure all auxiliary enterprises support the mission of Clemson University.

Provide leadership for capital improvements, pro forma development, facilities planning, equipment upgrades and inventory replacement. Manage risk assessment and emergency management planning and implementation. Serve as active member of Emergency Operations Team. Assess and reviews facility care, maintenance and customer service, identifies opportunities for improvement. Ensure ongoing advisement, development and support of primary student programming and support. Guide the development of student experiences that provide opportunities for learning and development.

Provide day-to-day leadership and management of University contracts in the areas of Dining, Bookstores, Vending, Transportation and Childcare. Development and administration of an annual Housing revenue budget of $55 million dollars and annual Dining budget of $25 million dollars.

Facilities responsibility for 27 residence halls, four apartment communities, 24 retail locations and three dining halls.

Functions within University Housing & Dining include Residential Living, Residential Learning, Dining Hall Operations, Retail & Catering Functions, Marketing and Communications, Summer Housing Camp & Conference Programs and Housing Operations & Administration. In partnership with University Facilities, the Departments of Housing & Dining Maintenance and Custodial & Building Support provide ongoing care and stewardship of the facilities.

Leveraging the efforts of staff members that include 355 full-time staff, 425 part-time staff, 23 Graduate Assistants and 350+ part-time student staff.

Implementation of Housing Master Plan in partnership with University Facilities Capitol Projects Team. Recent major projects include $300 million dollars in new construction, including 2,300 new beds, a new residential dining hall, 8 new retail dining locations, new campus bookstore and new campus recreation center on two properties.
