Yes, sometimes saying nothing is a strong strategy. According to a 2019 Sprout Social report, 70% of consumers believe it's important for brands to take a public stand on social and political issues. The report highlighted that this practice would become the “new normal,” helping brands build a better image while educating customers about social issues and for years, brands have been making public statements on various important topics. However, Harvard University is now taking a different approach, which I expect many others to follow. Recently, Harvard announced it will remain silent on public matters not directly related to its “core function,” following the controversy sparked by its statements on the Israel-Hamas war. I’m torn on this topic. On one hand, I believe brands should only voice their opinions if they actively support the cause with time and money; otherwise, their statements seem self-serving and opportunistic. On the other hand, influential brands can raise awareness about issues that may lead to positive action. What do you think? Should brands stick to issues related to their work and investments, or should they share their thoughts on broader societal improvements? When have you appreciated a brand adding their voice to an issue? #topvoices #brand #socialchange https://lnkd.in/epEmE2aq

Hailing all Defenders of the Detrusor ... More tools in your toolbelt! Yes ... the Golden Era of Bladdder Diagnostics for BPH BPO is alive and well! The category of Basic Urodynamics continues to grow as it includes ... IPSS, Diary, PSA, Uroflow, and Ultrasound (DWT, BWT, PV, IPP, PL. etc.) ! Use #Uroflow as an additional data point to triage LUTS patients and identify who needs a Bladder Health Baseline which included at least a #cystoscopy and ideally multi-channel Advanced #urodynamics if available. If you have Enhanced UDS like penile cuff or external condom catheter technology, then use that. Any data is better than none. Great listen as the Brigade of Uroflow Defenders keep advancing both the hardware and software technologies to empower BPH BPO patients with their own data !!! Amazing how the technologies can account for so many parameters ... Patient Height | Echoic properties | Water depth | Shape of toilet bowls | Background noice | Meatal geometry | Water depth ... Nice! Defenders, find the technology that works for your BPH BPO operational pathway. Most importantly, keep prioritizing DATA OVER DRUGS!!!! #stopnarcotizingbladders Luca Cindolo Drugs are Temporizing measures, not Therapeutic measures. Data shines light into the darkness of BPH BPO. John Kell's recent article in Fortune, "The best investment opportunities in AI for health care right now," provides incredible insights about the challenges of healthcare data and how it impacts the advancement of #ai. Three out of every four leading health care companies are experimenting with generative AI or attempting to scale it across their business. What are they creating and why? Venture capitalist Deena Shakir asks founders if they "are aiming to solve a technology problem or a clinical adoption problem". Solving existing problems will speed decision making and improve data quality. The Deloitte report: “Navigating the Emergence of Generative AI in Health Care” shares some of the data challenge in health care. While boasting the largest source of raw data, 80% of the data are unstructured. Simon Gisby, managing director and the global leader of life sciences and health care at Deloitte further expounds "But as an industry, we’re not surprisingly that good at analyzing and drawing correlations out of that" https://lnkd.in/gXE_HVG2 Read thus great article for use cases and examples from fertility and maternal health care to predicting adverse outcomes to drug development and immunotherapies. The future of health and #ai is the hope that we can provide value in health care data equal to the volume we produce Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gTx6ic_b

Founded in 2018 by Dr. Rao, a practicing cardiologist, Abridge is dedicated to tackling one of the healthcare industry's most enduring challenges: the administrative burden on clinicians. Operating out of its headquarters, Abridge seeks to revolutionize patient-care documentation. Utilizing advanced AI, Abridge records conversations between clinicians and their patients, providing succinct summaries that significantly reduce paperwork and allow healthcare providers to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks. Already, 10,000 clinicians have integrated Abridge into their practices, a testament to its effectiveness and potential. Following a succession of successful venture funding rounds, Abridge is now valued at an impressive $850 million. This innovation represents a remarkable stride in the integration of AI within healthcare, not just simplifying processes but also improving patient engagement and outcomes. AccendoWave - A Pain #Data Company These are just some of the large-scale shifts taking place in the global consumer landscape. Consumers have continued to defy expectations and behave in atypical ways, keeping consumer goods manufacturers and retailers on their toes. More than ever, companies that cultivate a detailed, up-to-date understanding of today’s and tomorrow’s consumers—who they are, what they want, and where and how they shop—will be best positioned to succeed.

When counseling current patients to rediscover their self-identity, it is remarkable development of your Brand Identity which merits the attention of prospective patients. 👀 What are Brand Identity’s key elements ❓ With a picture worth 1,000 words, a visually expressive logo is essential. If your current look is uniquely pleasing, right on! If needing a refresh, let’s brainstorm progressive ideas. Change for the better is easier than expected and will go (grow) a long way. 💯 🎯 Skilled content curation is piloted by instinctively knowing your target audience and consistently meeting them where they are. Social Media Architecture’s creative flow integrates: ✅ Brand Identity which differentiates and elevates. ✅ Proprietary Content which, in practice branded ways, helps convey your unique story. ✅ Social Media Architecture which, with Omni-Channel applications, is consistently engages target audiences. ✅ Content Management System (CMS), which, in a streamlined manner, is modeled for success. To be more social, stop on in.... ⬇ https://lnkd.in/gqdXrP4Z #socialmedia #omnichannel #practicebranded #facebook #linkedin

1 in 8. The demand for this type of support in the fight against obesity is real. The latest KFF poll is eye opening. Important for employers - as well as thier trusted employee benefits advisors - to keep an eye on this trend. This is going to continue to be “fight” and I predict some type of legal action soon testing the denial of this treatment/medication for this disease.

Imagine swallowing the competition whole. That's what many players in tech do via roll-up strategies, gobbling up smaller firms to deliver richer solutions and amass greater market share. Where else are roll-up strategies common? // HEALTHCARE Picture being a patient at a medical practice that’s been part of a roll-up in Healthcare Services. It's an industry ripe for roll-ups due to its fragmented nature and potential for greater efficiency. // CONSUMER SERVICES Or let's say you needed your HVAC serviced, and notice your local repairman is now part of a bigger Consumer Services entity? Centralized management and scale economy turn these localized businesses into roll-up targets. // FINANCIAL SERVICES Think about your insurance agent or wealth management advisor. They're working in complex, highly regulated environments. In the Financial Services sector, roll-ups offer an effective way to consolidate expertise, streamline operations, and enhance customer offerings. // MANUFACTURING Now, imagine driving past factories under a new name — the result of Manufacturing and Industrial Services roll-ups. Bulk purchasing reduces costs, enhances production capabilities, and expands geographical footprints. // REAL ESTATE Lastly, envision your real estate brokerage firm. The industry sees roll-ups as a strategic move to increase market penetration, enhance service offerings, and hike up portfolio value. Roll-ups play a huge role in most industries, rather like a snowball rolling downhill, gaining momentum, and size. Are you seeing roll-ups in your sector or considering M&A?

As a brand manager in the pharmaceutical industry, I've always been passionate about the pivotal role our products play in improving patients' lives. Yet, amidst the strategic planning and market analysis, it's easy to lose sight of the human element—the individuals whose health and well-being depend on the medications we bring to market. Reflecting on my journey in this field, I've come to a profound realization: the necessity of prioritizing patient-centric communication in our brand management efforts. While our primary audience may often be healthcare professionals like doctors, it's imperative that we recognize the importance of patient-inclusive communication.

*This is NOT a paid ad.* Next up in my series highlighting oral health companies who kill it in both brand AND product: Stimmie What I know is that in 2024 success isn't just about having a great product at the perfect price point -- instead, it's about the story, voice and culture around it -- THE BRAND. Reminder: This series is not paid ads. Yes, the companies I'm featuring are at all stages of product and company growth. And no, not all are available in the US market yet. A while back I met a beautiful powerhouse named Stephanie Nightingale, founder of Stimmie, and have been fortunate to witness the growth of her company which just officially launched one month ago! Call it a new-school reusable toothpick or a high-end modern rubber tip stimulator that your gingiva will love (three cheers from hygienists everywhere), what I really like about it is that though this is the flagship product in whatever eventual line is to come, the Stimmie team has already created a memorable and strong voice and culture around the brand. The voice, culture and brand is one that I'm not sure dentistry has ever seen before. On a product evaluation note, I've seen it all. I've tried it all. There's plenty of products that I have high hopes for which leave me wanting. But this...this I've had for 10 days, and I've happily used it every day. There's an addicting quality about it that I'm pretty sure our patients will also discover. The best I can say is that it's something about the balance of the handle, the smoothness of the design, and the reassurance that I won't walk around with rocket stuck between 11 & 12 (a nightmare all dental professionals routinely have). There's something about Stimmie. The fact is, Stimmie leaves me wanting more. Way to go, Steph! Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gTpq6fPg

The surge in wellness deal activity and the staggering $480 billion spent on wellness products and services in 2023 underscores a growing trend toward prioritizing health and well-being. However, amidst this significant expenditure, #payers face challenges stemming from potential lags in digital adoption. While consumers increasingly drive #HealthcareSpending through their care choices, payers must adapt to the digital landscape to remain competitive and effectively manage costs. Embracing digital solutions enhances operational efficiency and enables payers to better meet consumers' changing needs. #ConsumerLedStrategy

“Your brand is your reputation. And in today’s digitally driven world, news about your business, both good and bad, travels fast. No matter your marketing strategy, consumers are more likely to trust their peers. That’s why sellers should think of customers as potential brand advocates, not one-off transactions.” Holly McQuillam From Jason Perumal’s blog @ https://lnkd.in/eHMNXatC Word of mouth impacts the majority of purchasing decisions. Customers place more trust in the content shared by individuals, including user-generated content (UGC) and employee posts, than in brand-generated content. Rewarding customer advocates can lead to repeat business and a stronger community connection. Building a community helps customers feel more connected to your brand and less likely to leave. Integrating customer advocacy into the sales strategy can lead to more effective customer relationship building and increased sales performance. Additionally… 4 strategies to help develop lifelong advocates from the start… 1. Make the first experience memorable 2. Keep the conversation alive 3. Involve customers in your community 4. Reward customer advocacy
