    Invited to present as a media coach at the 2016 Maryland Municipal League Police Executives Association Training Conference which is comprised of police executives from across the state. During the 4-hour, comprehensive training session, focused on media relations, external and internal communications during breaking news and high-profile incidents. Stressed importance of managing social media during a crisis and digital marketing to promote police departments. Relying on journalism experience, subjected the police executives to hold mock news conferences then provided immediate feedback on their recorded performances. Of the 49 participant evaluations, 47 rated the training session a 5 out of 5.

    Invited to give two presentations at this annual social media conference: one on crisis communications during an ambush attack on one of our police stations in March of 2016 that led to the friendly fire death of an undercover officer. The second presentation focused on the Prince George's County Police Department's use of Nextdoor to poll our citizens about safety and to better engage with our community.
