Projects

  • The Effects of OFAC Sanctions on Iran’s Economy

This paper explores the affects that U.S. economic sanctions have had on Iran’s economy, arguing that only when Iran fixes its broken system and the U.S. entertains using détente to halt Iran’s nuclear capabilities, will there be an end to the devastating affects that sanctions have had on the Iranian people.

  • Accessing Self-Interest in the Stabilization of Afghanistan

I analyze the socio-economic and political status of Afghanistan, exploring widespread corruption and patronage in the governing system as a solidifying factor for poverty throughout the nation.

  • Assessing Civil Service Reform within Afghanistan

It also details for the reader the goals and objectives of the ACSS program to provide the framework used to further analyze the program.

seek to explain the answer to this question testing the conjecture that greater ethnic
fractionalization in countries with high urbanization rates create more conflict because higher
urban growth rates increase the population density of a country, and when you have a country
with a significant amount of ethnic fractionalization, it would be easy to make the presumption
that ethnic factions forced to live in closer proximity to each other are more likely to fight than
    those spread apart.
