Making it easier for people to access primary care helps drive better outcomes, and we’re seeing that patients benefit from the added convenience of receiving care in settings where they’re already spending their time – like the workplace.   In 2022, we launched a workplace-focused model offering five onsite and near-site care centers in Columbus, Ohio with apree health and Central Ohio Primary Care. This new video from Chase highlights an employee’s experience when they seek care here. As you can see, employees have quick and easy access to a dedicated care team offering a broad range of services from screenings to disease management and coaching – representing a much-needed evolution in the traditional concept of a worksite health clinic. In comparison, these care centers offer much more than acute and urgent care needs (like flu shots and band aids).   We’re proud to offer this care to our 35,000 employees and their families in Columbus – helping to ensure that they don’t have to spend time seeking out high quality care or incur more costs in the process of doing so. It’s early days, but we’re already seeing that our employees are highly engaged with their providers and are satisfied with the care they receive. To date, the care centers have achieved a NPS of 87 and are in the 90th percentile for screenings in critical areas like A1C, breast cancer and colon cancer – underscoring that investments in primary care are worthwhile when backed by the right tools and strategy.

February marked a significant milestone for the IHS Health IT Modernization Program, as kickoff meetings were held for three focus groups: Health IT Implementation; Interoperability; and Data Management and Analytics. The purpose of these focus groups is to support the program’s transition from the current Resource and Patient Management System to a commercial enterprise health IT solution, laying the groundwork for improved health care delivery and operational efficiency throughout #IndianCountry.
