  • LEDA's Strategic Plan

    The City of Lubbock has been involved in economic development for many decades, but the most recent economic development strategic plan was formulated in 2002. In 2013, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce coordinated a citywide visioning process called Imagine Lubbock Together. The Imagine Lubbock Together Vision laid out eight key elements of which many involved economic development and workforce related issues including the development of bold strategies.

    The City of Lubbock has been involved in economic development for many decades, but the most recent economic development strategic plan was formulated in 2002.     Given this charge, LEDA hired TIP Strategies, an Austin-based economic development consulting firm that specializes in developing strategic plans. Combined with recent work analyzing target industry clusters and discussions with business and community leaders, TIP Strategies identified a number of key economic development opportunities in the Lubbock region and developed a strategic plan of achievement.
