About a week ago, Express filed for bankruptcy, closing 100+ stores. It's unfortunate to see so many retail shops shutting down and the reality is, many retail businesses may not pull through. It's more important than ever to be educated on the value of building long-lasting wardrobes and purchasing/best shopping practices. I've seen a huge increase in cost for fast fashion clothing that most of us can't keep up with or quite frankly, don't want to. As a stylist, I always try to include a range of brands at different price points when suggesting items (Express being one of those brands). If we want to support these businesses we need to buy from them, otherwise, we'll continue to see doors closing.
