In 2014, MassChallenge committed to scale its Boston-based, no-strings-attached, community-driven accelerator program to ten new cities globally by 2019. An expansion team has been formed to identify target communities, build partnerships, raise funding, secure office space, hire staff, and engage community leaders. In 2007 I won the MIT $100K competition with Robopsy, a telerobotic needle insertion system to assist with image-guided lung biopsies and ablations; shortens procedures and cuts radiation while facilitating the early detection and treatment of lung cancer by enabling doctors to target smaller lesions.
