What do you do if your high performers are not being recognized and rewarded through performance evaluations?
If you see a conflict like this, I like to consider what I could be missing. And this starts with conversations with the manager and high performing employee(s). Solutions depend on the outcome of the conversation. For future years, consider having more upfront coaching through the talent process from goal setting through assessments. And then consider the tools that help to ensure effectiveness. A tool like Performance calibration sessions can be a great tool to ensure consistent and objective assessments.

How can you keep your PM presentation on topic?
I recently was introduced to a framework that helps us to always consider our audience: What do you want the audience to ______ with this information: - Think - Feel - Know - Do In a recent workshop, we did a post exercise after each presentation. The presenter wrote what they intended the audience to think, feel, know and do. The Audience shared what they actually thought, felt, knew and will do. The presenters were able to see the gap between intent and actual & were surprised. There are often times when we really believe we landed that presentation but in reality, our key points got lost in the message. Is this an exercise you could do with colleagues?
