How 7 Cedars Casino Weaves Strategy and Story into Two Major Projects
Tribal Gaming & Hospitality
It’s hard to tell just one story about the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. Do we start with the diversity of their enterprises, including gaming, seafood and shellfish, health centers and their award-winning golf course, all under the leadership and acumen of Chairman Ron Allen for more than four decades? It’s hard to tell just one story about the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. Do we start with the diversity of their enterprises, including gaming, seafood and shellfish, health centers and their award-winning golf course, all under the leadership and acumen of Chairman Ron Allen for more than four decades? We can explore the Tribe’s commitment to their broader community and their role as conservators of the land. And it’s tempting to dive into the unique history of a Tribe who pooled $500 in gold coins in 1874 and purchased land, securing their home for generations to come, when Native Americans across the country weren’t allowed to do so.
For this article, we’ll focus on the lessons and insights from two major development projects and investments for 7 Cedars Casino that will have long-term impacts to not only their bottom line, but to the community in which they live, and how they’ve weaved their unique story and culture into every aspect of these projects. -

Tula Bene, a recently completed dining venue, gives Tulalip Resort Casino an exciting and vibrant Italian-inspired chophouse and pastaria. This eatery welcomes guests, foodies, wine connoisseurs, and families. This renovation updates Tulalip’s dining options, keeping up with guests evolving tastes. This venue was inspired by the tastes and architectural styles found throughout Italy and by the homes of our grandmothers who collect antiquities and serve up delicious family meals for all to enjoy.

Another step in the transformation of Fourth Street in downtown Bremerton, and located beneath the B-Flats apartments on the site of a former Ford dealership is a rustic and warm gastropub.
The space was completely renovated and features a new kitchen, bar, and restaurant—plus walk-in refrigerator and freezer, keg room, storage and office. In addition to interior architecture, we created the material palette and selected furniture.

Patrons can sit at a variety of tables or lounge space, which can also be converted to accommodate live music. The tables are handmade using reclaimed wood from around the region. The pub’s bar was pieced together using lumber from the floorboards of train cars that hauled plane parts for Boeing. A re-purposed chest top serves as a backdrop for the bar’s 20 taps. -

The LEED Platinum–certified building with an EUI of 21.6 is now considered one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the Pacific Northwest, and is a sustainable showcase for the firm.
