“It's hard to believe that Jeff and I met 6 years ago as freshman At CSU Channel Islands. Together we crossed many paths as we both were inducted into the campus honor society (Gamma Beta Phi), joined the sailing team, participated in an intramural dodgeball league (rivals, obie), studied abroad in Karlsruhe, Germany, and shared the same major. We worked closely together studying Business as our campus was pretty small and many of our classes overlapped one another. I can without a doubt say that Jeff is not your ordinary applicant. He was the top of our class and an extremely hard working, competitive, and kind guy. Patagonia was very lucky to snatch him up after graduation. I'm excited to see what positive impacts he makes on the world--because it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when! ”

America's Cup: A Study of the Culture of Sailing in Australia
Sage Publications
We explored and observed the differences between sailing in Australia and sailing in the United States. We focused primarily on the impact of the America’s Cup competition within the Australian sailing community. We found that unlike the streets of Australia, the ocean is a common ground connecting the United States and Australia. As a group we met with local members of the sailing community in order to get a first-hand look into the culture of sailing in Australia.
