Completed 3 out of 6 training modules required to test for Architect. I was pulled off training to assist with an ICD 503 accreditation for one of Kinney Groups main products.

A local state agency with many locations and several datacenters requiring faster application traffic, correction of asymmetric routing for proper data decryption with IPS, and lower WAN and LAN latency times was optimized with enhanced QoS rules, data-cache enhancement, and better leverage of existing Riverbed Steelhead devices as well as deployment of new devices with the VMWare ESXi configured..

I just finished sub-contracting for a customer where SolarWinds' Log and Event Manager was recently installed in Tallahassee. I was contracted to help optimize and develop content for the customer. A quick health check showed that their virtual appliance was using an inordinate amount of drive space as virtual memory. As Korn/Ferry incorporated the infrastructure of it acquisitions it became clear that efforts were required to properly bring these assets into our network in a secure manner. I was able to take on the role of mitigating factor using my available tools and experience, allowing SysOps and NetOps several months to meet impending deadlines.

In order to strengthen Korn/Ferry's security stance while remaining sensitive to budgetary concerns, I have taken inventory of the many tools the firm has to assess how they can best be integrated and utilized in concert more fully. Essentially, my goal is to take several point-solutions and use them to normalize data, correlate, alert, notify, and help in the remediation of any possible security incidents. By upgrading the firewalls, I was able to setup management of all devices through NSM. This not only strengthened the institution's security posture by doing a full review and implementing improved rules and tunnels, it also saved the company time and money, as a new device could be shipped to headquarters, given an IP address, powered on when it arrives at the new site, and a full configuration pushed; thus eliminating the need to send engineers to each site as they changed or grew.
