The Design Partnership's recently occupied Mental Health Center at VA Palo Alto is the prototype for the new “VA Design Guide for Mental Health Facilities” promulgating evidence-based design. Our building models the Guide’s design and planning recommendations for VA mental health facilities to be safe places that go much further to proactively support VA’s delivery of care with comforting, residential, patient-centered environments
