Attention California employers! Starting July 1, California’s new Workplace Violence Prevention Law (SB553) will take effect, requiring businesses to implement comprehensive strategies to safeguard employees against workplace violence. This legislation mandates the creation of safe workplace policies, risk assessments and incident reporting procedures to prevent and address violent situations effectively.
