How can you make the technical candidate experience better?
I 100% believe that even at 'Dream Companies' we should pay candidates for more extensive interview processes. It's hard to hire for a technical role without case studies, extra interviews, panels and even time with the team. It's a huge investment and I really wish that there was more leverage for hiring managers to incentivize the best candidates taking vacation days or time off to showcase their skills.

How can you coach a candidate who is nervous during an interview?
I think it's a common misconception that interviewers are supposed to present themselves as intimidating, all-knowing decision-makers throughout the interview process. Instead, I think you get a better picture of the candidate's skills and qualifications when you invite them to have an equal seat at the table. I love helping to steer candidates towards a more 'successful' response by asking clear follow-on questions to the more traditional "Tell me about a time when..." style questions. Following up makes them feel heard but also gives room for an improved response. - "What about if you didn't have such-and-such resource available?" - "Can you speak a bit more about how that felt?" - "Let me explain why I'm interested in your response."

Green, Hidden and Above: The Most Exceptional Treehouses
Braun Publish, Csi
Reigning majestically amid the treetops, the treehouse is a bastion of freedom and security in harmony with nature. It is a construction based either on a single tree or several, or on stilts in the middle of trees. Different methods of treehouse construction differ substantially from other types of building, requiring a profound knowledge of the materials to be used.

Different methods of treehouse construction differ substantially from other types of building, requiring a profound knowledge of the materials to be used.
In terms of use and design this special architectural discipline is full of surprises. The projects assembled for this volume show the present extraordinary treehouse variety. While natural motifs like nests, cocoons or caves are frequently employed, references to UFOs as well as other futuristic styles influence design – fantasy shall know no bounds.

It involves collaboration between students, researchers and teachers and the mutual mobility of students from different universities.
The research perspective is justified by the common willigness to investigate and analyze the main trends and scenarios that characterize the Smart City model in urban and rural areas in the coming decades, identify possible solutions to experience them in a prototype in the laboratory and, later, as pilot projects directly in the Bergamo area.
These project ideas, properly shared with some local actors (companies, organizations, institutions) may have a practical application and represent examples of practical implementation of the trends and patterns described above.
The program in 2015 focuses on two areas of inquiry: Zero Mile Manufacturing and Logistic and Local Food System Mapping and Design.
