“Jaime was one of the senior engineers on my core incubation team at Convoy. What I appreciate the most about Jaime's technical leadership is the level of ownership she brought to her role. She has an innate ability to come into an ambiguous situation and figure out structure amidst anything and propose a plan of execution. She also excels at organization and building for scale.”

I co-founded and ran a student team to build an International Robotic Sailboat Competition SailBot. The competition consists of four autonomous navigation challenges on open water, and a design presentation. Our team earned 2nd place overall in the 2012 competition and was invited to host the 2013 competition. National Instruments was so impressed with our team's work they invited us to be keynote speakers at their NI Week 2012 conference in Austin, Texas.

National Instruments was so impressed with our team's work they invited us to be keynote speakers at their NI Week 2012 conference in Austin, Texas.
As project manager, I held weekly officer’s meetings to coordinate system design, organized recruiting (brought in 30 active members) and kick-off training sessions.
As electrical lead, I managed a ten-student team to design and compile an integrated suite of power, computation, communication, sensing, and actuation systems.
The team has continued past the founding members' graduation; the project website has continued to be maintained with updates over the year: http://olinsailbot.com.Other creatorsSee project -
Autonomous Refilling System for Industrial Agricultural Sprayers (Senior Capstone Program in Engineering)
-
Our team designed a fully automated fluid-tank refilling system for AGCO sprayer tractors (used for fertilizer and pesticide application) with the end goal of eliminating the need for a human operator. We built a fully functional prototype on a SpraCoupe 4650 including: fluid connection assembly, monitoring and control software/electrical system, field refilling station, and the novel use of QR codes for tank identification.

Solar Powered Speaker
-
Developed a works-like prototype of a solar-powered speaker: designed a solar-charge control circuit with MPP tracking, a power control circuit with DC-DC buck regulator, and a hysteretic low-voltage detect circuit.

Intelligent Ground Vehicle
-
As project manager, I organized a team of nine students to design and build an autonomous robot for the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition. We developed a novel, hierarchical, multi-brain robot architecture in LabVIEW on National Instruments’ cRIO/FPGA platform and a laptop computer. Our integrated sensing suite included: SICK LIDAR,U-blox GPS, VectorNav INS, Sony camera

Autonomous Robotic Boat
-
On a team of seven students, we applied knowledge of robotic vision, cognition, controls, and actuation to design, build, and program an autonomous robotic boat.
In just three weeks, we produced a fully-functional boat that autonomously generated and followed waypoints in a figure-eight pattern around two buoys.Other creators -
GPS Smoothing Algorithms
-
I wrote a test framework in Ruby to analyze the relative accuracy of Haversine, Pythagorean, and Law of Cosines real-time smoothing algorithms in determining position and velocity from noisy GSD4e GPS data for the Nike SportWatch.

System Requirements Testing on Phillips AirFloss
-
I completed system requirements testing on Beta II unit of Philips AirFloss, including developing five automated Instron test procures and reducing battery life-cycle testing analysis time by 75% by developing Python code to analyze results.
