When worlds collide: Last week, I carved out time midday to pick up my son from his sleepaway camp. I was pleasantly surprised to run into my colleague, Melony Johnson, who greeted me warmly as I walked in. We had unknowingly registered our kids for camp the same week. Moments like these remind me of how I love connecting with my colleagues authentically. In our case, we share a firsthand understanding and love for someone with Autism. The saying goes, "If you've met one person with Autism, you've met one person with Autism." While every family has their challenges and experiences, parents in the autism community are all advocating to find the best fit for their child. I love connecting with other parents on this journey to hear about their experiences, share stories, and learn what works for them. Talking about the spectrum of neurodiversity and sharing experiences with others who 'know' has become a core part of who I am. My insight into the world of neurodiversity has given me a profound perspective on human interaction and the complexities that shape us all, personally and professionally. I have always been interested in #DEI and #Belonging, and my personal insight into the world of neurodiversity has enriched my interest in fostering an environment where everyone feels heard and understood. Respecting and supporting each other's unique experiences and challenges is crucial at work and plays a key role in how we listen and show empathy. This journey has further reinforced the importance of kindness and understanding in every interaction, whether at home or in the workplace. "What one piece of advice would you give your former self, given the chance?" 🤔 I've been asked this question a few times in interviews, and it turns out the advice I'd give to my former self is the same advice I give to someone today who is earlier in their career: ✨ Recognize what *you* offer. ✨ It's not just about what's on your resume. Or your education. Or your past job experience. It's about the intrinsic qualities that define *you.* The so-called “soft” skills, often labeled as "nice to have" are the same ones that make incredible employees and, particularly, incredible leaders. These human-centric skills—empathy, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication—are critical in business, and they're all important in leadership. (That’s especially true as the world becomes more AI-driven.) Great leaders can spot these strengths in their teammates and seek to bring in those who demonstrate these soft skills, which benefit the team and drive better outcomes. And since human skills set us apart, especially as AI takes on a bigger role—don’t downplay those skills. Embrace them. They'll continue to matter. And, as I always tell my mentees: Be your authentic self—#authenticity matters. ✨✨✨ What advice would you give to your former self? I love hearing people's responses.

👉 Over the last 4 weeks, I've had the honor of waking up every morning and hearing powerful, moving stories from enablement leaders around the world.    I've heard stories of triumph 💫   I've heard stories of sacrifice 💪   I've heard the community stand up and show up for each other 💕   We asked you all to share what enablement means to you and what you wish the world knew.    And the themes that emerged were evident in every single submission.   As a sales enablement leader:   1) Your joy comes from helping others grow and succeed: You will go out of your way to seek out those who are struggling because that's where you can have the biggest impact. Every single submission mentioned the word "helping." It's core to who you are.    2) Mutual trust is absolutely imperative to your success: Sales reps have to trust that you're looking out for them, and you have to trust that they'll absorb and apply the coaching, guidance, and support you provide.    3) You put your sellers first, even before yourselves: You insist on winning as a team. If there's an opportunity to be a better coach, mentor, or upskill your reps - you'll take it without hesitation.    4) Your impact extends far beyond revenue generation: You set the tone for creating a culture of curiosity, empathy, and continuous learning. Summer is one of my favorite times of the year – it means more time with our kids, family vacations, and this year, the joy and excitement of seeing our daughter Victoria (12) and son James (8) go to sleep-away camp for the first time! Every June, during World Infertility Awareness Month, I reflect on the journey to parenthood that my husband Mark and I experienced. We’re deeply grateful for the amazing family we’ve built together. But getting here was a long and at times lonely journey of undergoing fertility treatments. Numbers show that we are far from alone: According to the latest data from the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 people worldwide face infertility. My advice to those on similar journeys is to build a community of confidants around you, both in your personal life and at work. Believe me, you’ll need it. I’m so grateful for the ways in which I was supported by my community – they provided crucial space for understanding, flexibility and emotional support. Another learning: It’s okay to cut yourself some slack. Trying to get pregnant, especially with IVF, can feel like a full-time job, and other aspects of your life may need to take the backseat temporarily. For some, it might be an easier path; for others it’s a rollercoaster of emotions: hope, uncertainty, fear, hope again, exhaustion, disappointment, sometimes grief, and hopefully, the eventual utmost joy of bringing a baby into the world. Accepting this reality and prioritizing my mental and physical well-being was a hard but important lesson. To anyone struggling with infertility, know that you are not alone. By sharing my story, I hope to bring some comfort and impart some practical advice. If this is not your story, I hope that I can help raise awareness. If you see someone who’s having a hard time, my best advice is to always be kind; we never know what others are going through. #WorldInfertilityAwarenessMonth

Catchy, click-bait headline. Shame they’re bringing in generational cohorts into this to further entice the clickery. The bigger issue is why is your team member needing to nap vs practicing healthy sleep habits - and personal day / vacation habits - that leaves them re-charged and ready to go every day. This is a real Employee Experience topic that needs to be addressed if it’s truly 1-in-3 people. If I heard this as a leader, I’d have this conversation with them, “What’s going on that we might need to change for you?” And if they’re a top performer, I’m def accommodating. Or if they’re a low performer and a change gets them the sleep needed to get the job done, I’m also all in. If you’re struggling that much, take the morning or afternoon and come back when you’re ready. Work will be there later/tomorrow. PS - I’ve also had the luxury of having a leader that I could call or text on a sunny weekday and simply say, “To well to attend.” In which he would respond with, “enjoy the fishing/golf/etc.” This, in my mind, is the ultimate managing up. 😂 Would you sleep during office/work hours? A close friend of mine asked me this morning if I know any good "CRO people" for a full-time role his company is hiring for. I don't care how big you are - for me, CRO will always be one of those functions that is never deserving of a full-time head count. That's like driving all the way to the gym to train your triceps. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) should be highly collaborative. Your sales team, product team, and customer success team should all be putting forth ideas for tests, not just marketing. It should be more than running through a backlog list of A/B tests. Scour your competitors. Listen to sales calls. Don't just test the blue versus red CTA button. Don't get me wrong, I think CRO is critical. Especially when you've reached a pivoting point in your demand curve. But in the hands of the right Demand Gen leader the execution is fairly easy. What do you think? What other sales and marketing functions just are not deserving of a FTE?

I’ll keep this short and sweet. After 7.5 years, I say goodbye to Okta. 7 different roles spanning everything from Product Marketing to Demand Marketing and everything in between. $100M~ in ARR to $2B+. The creation and re-invention of multiple market categories. From just a few thousand customers to north of 20,000. Truly iconic, and I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it. Todd McKinnon and Frederic Kerrest, it was a heck of a ride. As for what’s next, I’m excited to share that I’m starting my adventure as Chief Marketing Officer for Axonius. A few important considerations in choosing my next gig: (1) the opportunity to partner with fantastic founders in Dean Sysman Ofri Shur and Avidor Bartov who bring unparalleled expertise, integrity and intellectual curiosity. (2) a market opportunity that is massive, pervasive and untapped (CAASM) … and it’s just the beginning. (3) technology that customers love. Axonius delivers on all of this and more. The future is bright and I’m really excited to get started.
